Fall 2024 (Unstacked Teams)
Arch Invitational (Wash U): Team Princess Peach kicked off the fall season in St. Louis, winning SPAMTA and finishing with a record of 4-4! Rand Meyer earned an 18-rank attorney award, Layla Zaidi took home a 17-rank attorney award, and Philip Wang earned a 17-rank witness award.
Scarlet & Gray (OSU): Team Yoshi made the trip to Ohio and came back with a 4-4 record, with Kira Hughes earning an 18-rank witness award!
Illini Invite (UIUC): NUMT had a fantastic showing in Champaign! Team Bowser Jr. took home 2nd place with a strong 6-2 record. Claire Humphrey earned both a 20-rank attorney award and an 18-rank witness award. Team Toad also competed, earning a SPAMTA Honorable Mention after going 2-6
Mock at the Rock (Northwestern): Team Princess Peach earned 3rd place and SPAMTA with a 5-3 record — Rand Meyer took home both a 17-rank attorney and 18-rank witness award, and Layla Zaidi added a 16-rank attorney award. Team Bowser Jr. also placed 5th with a 5-3 record, with Claire Humphrey earning a 17-rank attorney and 18-rank witness award, and Jordyn Howard picking up a 17-rank witness award.
Badger the Witness (University of Wisconsin, Madison): NUMT wrapped up the fall season strong in Madison! Team Yoshi placed 3rd with an excellent 8-2-2 record, with Lillian Ali earning a 24-rank witness award. Team Toad went 6-6, Ben Hempker won a 26-rank witness award and Saamiyah Khan took home a 24-rank witness award.
Winter 2025 (Stacked Teams)
Beach Party (UC Irvine): Teams Astro Nights and Back Lot headed out to sunny California to start the competitive season! Team Astro Nights placed 5th and earned a SPAMTA Honorable Mention with a 5-3 record, with Rand Meyer taking home a 17-rank attorney award and Kira Hughes a 17-rank witness award. Team Back Lot rounded things out with a 4-4 record.
Great Lakes Gauntlet (Michigan State): Teams Counterfeit and Carrot competed at Michigan State! Team Counterfeit went 3-4-1, with Andrea Villafuerte earning both an 18-rank and 16-rank witness award. Team Carrot went 3-5, with Evelyn Heath taking home a 16-rank witness award.
Great Chicago Fire (University of Chicago): Team Astro Knights competed at one of the most prestigious invitationals, winning SPAMTA and finishing with a record of 7-8-1!
Ramblin’ Wreck (Georgia Tech): Team Back Lot headed south to Atlanta and came back with an honorable mention and a 5-3 record! Rie Kim earned a 17-rank witness award and Ben Hempker a 16-rank witness award.
Hilltop Invitational (Georgetown): Team Counterfeit made the trip to D.C. and finished with a 4-4 record, with Andrea Villafuerte earning a 16-rank witness award.
South Bend Regionals: NUMT had a tremendous showing at South Bend Regionals! Team Astro Knights placed 2nd, won SPAMTA, and finished 6-1-1 — with Kira Hughes and Claire Humphrey both earning 17-rank attorney awards, Rand Meyer a 18-rank witness award, and Saamiyah Khan a 16-rank witness award. Team Counterfeit also earned an honorable mention with a 5-2-1 record, with Caleb Scherzer earning a 19-rank attorney award and Lily Gerami a 16-rank witness award.
Madison Regionals: Team Back Lot had an incredible run in Madison, placing 3rd, earning a SPAMTA Honorable Mention, and finishing with an outstanding 7-1 record! Team 24 Carrot also competed with a 4-4 record, with Chloe Bishop earning a 17-rank attorney award and April Arabian a 17-rank witness award.
St. Paul ORCS: NUMT sent two teams to St. Paul and both made their mark! Team Apple placed 5th with a 6-2 record, highlighted by Claire Humphrey's remarkable 20-rank attorney award. Team Boom Clap went an undefeated 8-0, won SPAMTA, and took home 1st place — an incredible achievement — with Ben Hempker earning an 18-rank witness award and Rie Kim a 16-rank witness award!
Nationals: NUMT had an impressive showing at Nationals! Team freAk bob placed 8th with a 9-6-1 record, with Rand Meyer earning a 32-rank All-American attorney award. Team Boom Clap won SPAMTA and finished with a 6-10 record.
Trial By Combat: Rand Meyer capped off an extraordinary season by taking home the Best Witness award at Trial By Combat!
Gauntlet: Rand Meyer was also selected to compete at Gauntlet and he placed 4th! A remarkable individual achievement.
Rookie Rumble: NUMT's first and second years members showed out at the Rookie Rumble, finishing in 8th place with an 11-5 record! Kieran McLean earned both 35-rank and 34-rank attorney awards, and Patricia Nwoko took home a 30-rank attorney award — a phenomenal showing from NUMT!
